LocalTR — Privacy Policy

1. DATA CONTROLLER

This Privacy Policy is provided in compliance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

Data Controller:

Registered with the Turkish Data Controllers Registry (VERBİS) as a processing data controller.

2. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

To provide and improve LocalTR, the following personal data is processed:

2.1. License and Payment Data

• License key: a unique string generated upon purchase
• Purchase email address: for license assignment and support contact
• Payment information: handled by the payment provider (LemonSqueezy); LocalTR/TeknoWeb stores only the transaction reference number — card numbers, CVV, and similar data are never transmitted to TeknoWeb systems

2.2. Device and Activation Data

• Anonymized device fingerprint: to prevent license abuse; stored as a SHA-256 hash derived from the Device's MAC address and hardware identifiers. The original MAC address is never sent to our servers and the hash is irreversible.
• macOS version: to verify product compatibility
• LocalTR version number: to correlate error reports with the running version

2.3. Anonymous Crash Reports

• Stack trace: the code path where the error occurred
• Operating system info: macOS version, language, hardware architecture
• LocalTR version

Crash reports contain no personal data: usernames, file paths, license keys, IP addresses, and MAC addresses are excluded. Submission requires user consent (default: off).

2.4. Data NOT Processed

LocalTR does not process or collect:

• The contents of services running on the User's local machine (captured HTTP request/response bodies remain on the User's device and are never transmitted to TeknoWeb servers, under any circumstances)
• Web browsing history
• Apple ID or iCloud information
• Location data
• Keystrokes or screenshots

3. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

4. DATA TRANSFERS

4.1. Domestic transfers: TeknoWeb may share personal data, solely for the purposes set out above, with:

• Certified public accountants / sworn financial advisors (legal obligation)
• Legal counsel (in the event of disputes)
• Public authorities (upon court order or statutory obligation)

4.2. International transfers: Within the technical requirements of LocalTR's infrastructure, anonymized and aggregated data may be transferred to the following service providers outside Türkiye:

Pursuant to GDPR and KVKK Article 9, transfers within the EU are deemed adequate. For transfers to the USA, data minimization is applied.

5. RETENTION PERIODS

Data whose retention period has expired is periodically deleted or anonymized.

6. DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS (KVKK Art.11 / GDPR Art.15-22)

The User has the following rights, exercisable by application to TeknoWeb as the data controller:

a) To learn whether their personal data is processed,
b) To request information regarding such processing,
c) To learn the purposes of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with such purposes,
ç) To know the third parties — domestic or international — to whom the data has been transferred,
d) To request rectification of incomplete or incorrect data,
e) To request erasure or destruction of the data within the conditions of KVKK Art.7,
f) To request that rectification, erasure or destruction be communicated to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
g) To object to a result that is to their detriment arising from automated analysis of the data,
ğ) To request compensation for damages incurred due to unlawful processing.

Under GDPR additionally: the right to data portability, the right to object to automated decision-making, and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Türkiye: the Personal Data Protection Authority — kvkk.gov.tr; in the EU: the Member State data protection authority).

7. APPLICATION CHANNELS

To exercise KVKK / GDPR rights, applications may be made through:

Identity verification is required for applications. Requests are answered within 30 days (KVKK Art.13/2; GDPR Art.12/3 allows up to one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests).

The response is provided in writing or electronically, free of charge; however, if the action involves a separate cost, a fee determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.

8. DATA SECURITY

TeknoWeb implements the following technical and administrative safeguards to protect personal data:

• TLS 1.2+ for encrypted transmission
• Server access via SSH key only (password authentication disabled)
• AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive fields
• Access logs and audit trails
• Network isolation against unauthorized access (firewall, VPN)
• KVKK / GDPR training and confidentiality undertakings for staff

In the event of a data breach, notification is made within 72 hours to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Art.12/5) and to affected users (GDPR Art.33-34).

9. CHILDREN

LocalTR is a professional tool designed for software developers. Use by individuals under 18 years of age is not anticipated, and TeknoWeb does not knowingly collect personal data from users under 18.

10. POLICY CHANGES

This Privacy Policy may be updated by TeknoWeb from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to the User via in-app notification and/or by email sent to the address provided at purchase. The version number and "Effective Date" are updated at each revision.
